Please read the following carefully. It will supply necessary information to request support for your Agency or Nonprofit from our campaign in 2026

 

Our Toys for Tots campaign operates almost exclusively via email. As a condition of entering an application, it is mandatory that agencies use an email address that is monitored daily, and that responses to messages from Toys for Tots are prompt and complete. Agencies that cannot commit to accepting communication using the method and frequency of our campaign will need to seek support elsewhere.

To supply the gifts you request requires a massive amount of effort on the behalf of Toys for Tots volunteers. It is expected that Agency / Nonprofits will put in an effort of the same scale that they are requesting Toys for Tots dedicate to their request.

An inability to communicate effectively with Toys for Tots does not demonstrate that you are able to effectively distribute the support you request from us

Important changes for 2026: 

In order to recieve support from Montgomery County Toys for Tots, Agencies must agree to the following:

* They will only apply for gifts to support a specific, known list of families. We do not accept estimates. We do not support community block parties or unstructured giving. Toys for Tots exists to support children who might otherwise received nothing

* They will inform these families that your organization is seeking support from Toys for Tots on their behalf.


Toys for Tots will collect gifts from our community the weekend of Dec 12 /13, and begin Agency distributions no earlier than midday Tuesday, Dec 15th, through the end of  the week. Do not request an early distribution. We will not have the gifts to support it. If your program requires an earlier distribution, it is suggested that the families you are supporting request support directly from Toys for Tots rather than through your organization. 

The support we are able to offer for older children unfortunately needs to be decreased. We expect a shortfall in fundraising this year, and donations for older children are always a small fraction of what we need

Maximum number of families per Agency: 50
Maximum number of children per Agency: 300

Age Group 0 - 2: Max 50 per gender
Age Group 3-5: Max 100 per gender
Age Group 6-7: Max 50 per gender
Age Group 8-10: Max 20 per gender
Age Group 11+: Max 15 per gender

You should expect no more than one gift per child for the age brackets 8-10 and 11+ - we hope to have more, but by default we will be reserving gifts for older children for our family applicants

If you have families that have multiple older children, it is recommended that you suggest they apply directly via our family application process than through your organization. This will allow us to ensure we are able to meet your application request while still serving those families.

Toys for Tots only has the gifts we recieve from the public. We cannot offer what we do not recieve. As most gifts we recieve are for younger children, there is a limit on the number of older children your organization can seek support for. Do not overenroll. It will be fully the responsibility of your organization to seek other forms of assistance to meet your needs if you do so. Toys for Tots will *not* honor requests that exceed our coverage limits. It is the agency applicant's responsibility to track their own numbers and ensure they have the means to support children above and beyond what is possible via Toys for Tots.

 

I agree to the following terms:

1. Toys donated by Toys for Tots will not be auctioned, sold or otherwise turned over for monetary donations.
2. Toys donated by Toys for Tots will not be taken out of state for distribution.

I understand any violation of the above agreement will result in disqualification from future donations.

We are seeking your help to make this program as successful as possible and fair to all children. Please do not inflate the number of children on your toy request form. We do our very best to make sure each child receives two toys, one large and one small. We ask you to submit a request to only one distribution center. Sorting requests made to multiple centers costs the program valuable time that could otherwise be spent on collecting and distributing toys.
